A few months back, I wrote a post The Great IPO Rush where I said that everyone wants to make quick money by investing in IPOs, but very few IPOs turn profitable and fewer people hold them for a time to make proper gains. Here's how the biggest IPOs of FY21-22 have fared on the listing day and their post-listing performance.
Only 4 IPOs are showing a profit and how many investors are still holding these stocks? A very few. How many people are still holding on to the loss-making shares of Paytm? Most who got the allotment in the IPO. New investors always tend to learn the old lessons in the hard way.
